Pepper, Sweet – Cubanelle

Cubanelle is a sweet pepper great for cooking.  It’s a common pepper in Cuba, though its also very popular in Italian cuisine.  Picked when green, they are great for roasting or frying. Alternatively, they can be left to ripen on the plant and harvested when red or orange.    Baker creek warns that while these peppers are normally mild, they do sometimes have just a slight touch of heat.  Scoville rating at 100 – 1,000 units.

Our peppers will be available as single plants in 4in pots in late May / early June.

Our seed is open pollinated and comes from Fedco.
