While there are a number of basils out there, this one is the traditional. Originally from Genoa Italy, and the standard for pesto. We grow it every year and make huge batches of pesto to freeze. It also is lovely with heirloom tomatoes in a Caprese salad. Easy and delicious. Our seed comes from Fedco.
Basil will go into the garden with the tomatoes after the last frost. Ours will be ready for pickup in late May.
