Developed by John Scarchuk and Joseph Lent at the University of Conneticut in the 1950s this purple basil can be used for ornamental purposes as well as culinary. Can be used in salads, as a garnish, or anyway the traditional Genovese variety is used.
Planted after the last frost, our basils will be avaialble at the end of May
